61st Auction

The new auction year of Christoph Gärtner Auctions starts in February: In addition to the second part of the Germenis collection ‘Ethiopia’, you can expect a postal history collection ‘CUBA’, an important collection of
Rhodesia ‘Double Heads’, a special Swiss collection of Red Cross labels from 1870/71.

Of course, there are many other remarkable pieces. A few of them are:

• Interesting objects from the House of Fabergé such as a cigar case
• A 159g gold bar as a WIPA block in the stamp section under Austria
• Gold medal for the 90th birthday of Graf Zeppelin from 1928
• Old Italy, especially  Papal States and colonies/foreign post offices with several rare pieces (from the possession of a long-time Italy expert)
• Two Austrian Merkur in the colours brown-orange and dark pink
• Five-colour franking of the 1st printi ng of the 1874 Prince Nikola issue of Montenegro
• Complete mint sheet of 1949 French occ. Württemberg setenant with 4 similar Rheinland-Pfalz stamps.
